Cloud saves are not the same as your User Generated Content limit.

The saves limit is set by the game devs for their games. Turn off cloud saves for the game, start a new game, get to the first save point, save, exit game, turn on the cloud for the game again, start the game and choose local saves when prompted.

The artwork and screenshot limit for unlimited accounts is 18+GB.

That is actually not what I am experiencing, currently I am getting an error saying "You have exceeded your Steam Cloud quota. You will need to remove some items from your Steam Cloud and try again." trying to upload an Artwork, there is a link to show all files in the Cloud here https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage which shows many old saves that are no longer on the drive from many years ago totaling roughly 1gb. I cannot use Cloud Saves, nor can I upload artwork and I'm well under the 18gb limit with only 12 Screenshots, 5 workshop items, and 3 artworks. There's no feasible way for me to be anywhere near this limit, yet I somehow have reached it?? I'm somehow stuck in Cloud Storage limbo where somehow I'm using all this data but I do not see it, and I cannot control it.

I went game by game in the list from the link and unchecked Cloud Saves from each of them, yet they are still there on the server taking up space which I cannot remove. Why??? Why can I not control this easier? This would not be an issue for me if there was a system in place for me to clear old saves MYSELF instead of having them linger on a server for 8+ years.....

If what you say is correct then something very wrong is happening on the backend. The end user should be able to control this mess so issues like I am experiencing do not occur where I cannot help myself, nor can I get help for this issue with Steam support.

Again, the 2 are not the same nor are they shared in any way.

I have an inkling it has to do with the servers issues that went on the past week gearing up for the Winter event.

I understand that they are supposed to be two separate Cloud Storages however I am experiencing this issue when uploading Artwork. I cannot think of a reason why having a full Cloud Save storage would ever effect my ability to upload Artwork but that is currently what is happening when I try to upload something.

If this is not the reason, why am I getting that error message when uploading if it does not pertain to the Cloud Saves when I go to upload Artwork?
@V Did you find a solution for this ? Having the same problem right now :steamfacepalm:

I actually do see a listing in my cloud (following the link above) that says steam client. (not sure what files are in there.) I'm rocking about 1.5GB. Today I learned there was a limit. I'd always assumed it was just infinite.

Also apparently that thing L4D2 is constantly updating the cloud with is just my Spray...
