Suggested Friends in Community Tab and a status bar

I would like to see other people on steam that own similar or a particular game you feel like playing without having to do the manual one by one approach from their profile.

Make it easier to find people who actually want to play with you instead of wasting time adding friends only to find out they don't want to play or such. or at the wrong times

Maybe even make a status bar built into the friends and chat option that has a hover over list over the profile name to see what current games they are Looking To Play.

This feature could be great cos steam could program and assess what times people usually play games and weed out the ones that are offline when you are online.

The Suggested friends could have the add friend during a game from the overlay or a forget option if their is greifing and such, or just a reshuffle button to shuffle the current recommended friends for you.

No thank you, I don't want Valve to start suggesting me to other people to add as a friend. I don't want people trying to add me just because we have games in common.

If for what ever reason Valve decides to add this there should be an on/off switch and it should be off by default so that when its off you will not be added to any ones list.


If you want to find people to play a game with, go post in the games discussion area and ask people who are playing to add you. Finding and adding people to play a certain game with you should be as easy as you want, it will just lead to a lot of spam invites.
