Absolutely agree.
Sorry but I dont understand, why should be the developers to add this feature? I mean, if I take a screenshot with Steam it should be a Steam feature to let me tag a friend from my friend's list and then he/she accept or not to be tagged.
Because the GAME ITSELF needs to tell Steam that X person was in the screenshot that was just taken.
Valve can not alter the game because they do not have the source code. They provide the resources needed for their end and the code that has to be included in the games code.
Its just like achievements, the game itself has to tell Valve that an achievement was just achieved, which achievement it was and at what time.
The game would have to detect that Steams screenshot button was pressed, then it has to say X person was on the screen at the time of the screenshot. Steam just doesn't automatically know that X person was in the shot.
