Add a "save for later" option to the cart.

Just like Amazon has an option in their cart to add items to a "save for later" section. It'd be helpful here to have the ability to add games to a "save for later" section of the cart.

Say for instance, if there's many different games I'd like to purchase and already have in my cart but don't plan to purchase them right away/want to purchase a few days later (say on my pay day), but then I see another game I'd like to purchase is on sale/at a discount and it'd tickle my fancy to actually purchase that one right away because it's more affordable to me at the moment, then I'd have to remove the games I already added to the cart and purchase the discounted/on sale game separately.

So instead of that I could add the games not on sale/discount to the "save for later" section and then purchase the game on sale/discount. Idk if others would find this feature to be of use, but it wouldn't hurt to have it available.

Well Amazon also has a wishlist (and you can even create multiple wishlists to suit your own way to sort items), and they have the feature I mention here too, what if I have an extensive wishlist and can't be bothered with searching the wishlist? It'd be quite convenient to already have them stored in a "save for later" section of the cart.

OP, I can see how this is a concern, especially if you have a big wishlist. So your point is valid.

For now, how about using the "Following" list to play the role of the "save for later cart" that you want?

It's the same and it's not.
Yeah, wishlists serve as a way to save purchases. But there's situations where you may want to have 'different shopping carts' while shopping.

Think about a specific sale. You have the games you want to buy for yourself, then the games you want to purchase for friends, games you want to pay with your wallet funds, etc. In this situation it makes sense to organize it at the shopping cart level (As you're already 'buying stuff', not 'putting it in the wishlist for later') and to have different shopping carts ready for doing different checkouts.

When you wishlist passes 200 entries...you need a shortlist for your shortlist. I speak from experience.

While this feasture isn't the only solution to such a problem, I will support it. My ideal solution would simply allowing us to put categories in our wishlist

+1, when you have more than 10 items, with different expiring times, it's easier to have this save for later option and then purchase the ones you have interest rn or will expire before the others, and avoiding deleting all of your cart and having the risk of forgetting any item you want to buy later

and no, I don't think wishlists serve the same purpose
