it doesn't work good enough. if you go to left 4 dead 2's workshop and type in "loading screen" you will see the problem.
here is a link, just scroll down and you will see where it begins: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/browse/?appid=550&searchtext=loading+screen&childpublishedfileid=0&browsesort=textsearch§ion=home
they should've seen this coming when they developed steam. look at the mess now, can't even go through loading screens on the workshop without every page being full of sexual content. and nothing's being done about it.
If you find one that's sleipped through you're free to report it.
and it's specifically sexual content that a lot of people are sick of.
we shouldn't be forced to have to look at it when we don't want to. it's steam, not steam-hub.
steam should do something about it.
i rest my case.

If you find one that has slippesd through the cracks.. report it.
the girl on the bottom right who's wearing a skirt that doesn't even go over her butt so all of her butt is exposed. how is that not sexual?
a lot of people don't wanna see this as they flick through pages. it should have its own category where it belongs.
But also remember: YOU are not the only one who gets to decide what is or is not appropriate for ME.
If I wanted to download those (I do not) there they are, and good for me.
Steam's legal message to the effect of 'don't post porn' applies to those images which are actually pornographic. However, their other message for those games: "online interaction not rated and may vary" is something to keep in mind.
What happens from their own game publishing is their business. What other people upload is ONLY covered by that scant wording on their legal disclaimer. Steam cannot prevent people from making these things or even distributing them.
If they are merely - as is often times the case with such complaints as yours - 'suggestive' then don't expect any action whatsoever to be taken. It seems like you've got a problem with sexuality and images of it. But you are not the one making the decisions, and thank goodness for that.
Gore is far worse, in my opinion, than seeing nudity. That double standard at work.
seeing gore is completely different to seeing sex. that isn't a double standard. stop using gore as a way to justify seeing sex, most gamer humans are extremely desensitised to digital gore whereas they're not with digital sex. humans are still very much aroused by sexual content and that's why it's annoying.
and i'm not the only one complaining about the sexual content, i made this post because i've seen multiple people making complaint threads about it on left 4 dead 2's discussions and i agree with them, it is annoying.
just because you don't mind the sexual content doesn't mean many of us who do find it annoying, which is a lot of people, many are sick of it, should have to put up with it.
and the filter is obviously not good enough at all.
nobody should even defend against the idea of implementing a better system because it doesn't impact them negatively in any way if a better system is implemented, all it does it prevent sexual content from people who don't wanna see it. and that's fair.
nobody is calling for some draconian law to never allow sexual games or mods on steam, a lot of us just want it to be filtered properly from our display.
In both cases there is no nudity, there is no genetalia, no nipples. Ergo quite non-sexual, non-pornographic by definition. At best you could describe it as Provocative but that's it and again that's a *YOU* issue. Other people can look at that and not consider it sexual or pornographic
Then maybe they shouldn't browsing through anime inspired loading screens. if they consider fully clothed women to be sexual.
Didn't there were that many Amish users on Steam.
If it's not actual nudity or overtly sexual in the eyes of Valve it won't be filtered. Trying to satisfy every single random persons opinion on the tag is literally impossible so Valve has set their own standard.
seductive content is sexually arousing. maybe it's not seductive to you but it is to a lot of other people, myself included.
imagine if you just wanted to look through mods but you're seeing a bunch of seductive mods giving you a slight sexual arousal each time? you'd find it annoying. for me, i found it annoying after like day 2. i was fed up seeing it. and many people are like me.
it doesn't take a genius to see what's seductive content and what isn't.
