Compare installed games with friends
There should be a button in the games library to select a friend from my friend list, and Steam will then only display games that both my friend and I own. It would make finding games to play so much easier.

Go to friends page, click on "Games", hit the checkbox that says "Filter to games you both own"

ie; already a thing.

The library is for things you own, one item selected at a time or things displayed in numbers. Library is for you.
The store page for a product shows friends that want it, and friends that have it.
Going to a friends page, clicking on their Games list, allows you to see the games you have in common by checking that checkbox.

It's fine where it is, especially since what you asked already exists. There's no reason to have it in any other place.
