Steams algorithm is atrocious and there is way too much bad porn on your platform.

I go to store -> i click on specials --> i get the
"RECOMMENDED NEW RELEASES Based on what you've been playing" section
heres what i see:

VR porn game 1 and "Fetish Locator" (sic! you cant make that ♥♥♥♥ up) and some ♥♥♥♥

Please check my library!
I have exactly 0!!!! VR games and exactly 0!!!! porn games.

Please fkg stop steam - just please fkg stop. Your platform is going down the shtter so hard.

i had previously done this and it DID exactly DO THAT
It hid any game that was (questionably) flagged sexual content - and not only that it also FAILED to correctly filter some games that are CLEARLY porn

But even if i would consider this an acceptable solution to the problem, THE ACTUAL ISSUE IS THE THAT THE FKG RECOMMENDED GAMES BASED ON WHAT YOUVE PLAYED ARE GIVING ME GAMES THAT I LITERALLY DO NOT OWN.

That is the fkg Problem.

The 'New & Trendy' section isn't a curated one (other than filtering products according to your preferences). It's a list of trendy and new games in the store.
It might come to a surprise to you some of those games are trendy amongst other Steam users.

Also the algorythm doesn't weight the games in your library but what games you've played recently.

Not even on fkg different platforms.

The fkg algorithm is ♥♥♥♥ and no amount of excuses you make will change that.

Those games will have similar other tags, which is what it's based on.

I mistook it with the 'new and trendy' list at the bottom...

Funny enough the games show for me too, although it says:

This game doesn't look like other things you've played in the past. As such we don't have much information on whether or not you might be interested in it

It could be a case of the engine derping or the new releases not having enough to populate the list with personalized recommendations.
