Filtering porn games

This is been addressed already many times, I've seen a lot of old threads and I didn't want to necro. But it's ridiculous that in 2020 steam still doesn't have a way to let us filter games that are straight up porn. I know I can block nudity and adult tags but then I'd also block games like Bayonetta, The Witcher and Far Cry Primal. There has to be a way for steam to categorize those games that are just blatanty porn so we can choose if we want to see them or not in the store first page.

Turn off the Adult Only Sexual Content in your account details

Profile Name > Account Details > Preferences > Mature Content. Tick, untick the relevant boxes.

All are unticked by default. Why did you tick them if you are easily offended?

Secondly others may consider Bayonetta, The Witcher 3 and Far Cry Primal as porn.

I'm not easily offended. I just don't want that stuff to show up while my family is around for many reasons. I don't need steam to watch porn. The point is the option to filter those tags is a joke, since you also block games that are not porn. Besides, who is the world would consider Far Cry Primal porn?

Who would consider games you describe as porn except for yourself, I don't.

I personally do not see any games on Steam as been porn.

Odd that you want to be moralistic regarding Steam but visit porn sites.

As stated previously: Profile Name > Account Details > Preferences > Mature Content. Tick, untick the relevant boxes. All are unticked by default.


As a side note:

Let's take Grim Dawn as an example. Someone complained that their 7 year old child should not see bare breasts (porn) in the game whilst allowing said child to play and witness debauchery, torture, suffering etc within the game. Moral compass skewed? Yes..

I probably unticked that years ago because I didn't want to hide The Witcher and others.
I thanked the other user who suggested me that option only regards porn. You on the other side are just being hostile and cancerous since the beginning.

It might also exclude some very heavy gory violence ones, not sure about that. Either way, I never missed out on games that count (so to speak) due to that filter.

Yeah, the point is tags like "adult, mature, nudity or r18" are somewhat vague and don't one-sidedly address porn material. There should be a more specific tag for that so one can choose to have it on or off. Anyway I've disabled the "adult only sexual content" option and I hope that won't hide other games.

I'm sorry, but I have to say that these claims are ridiculous. I just checked, and Witcher 3 and Far Cry Primal aren't even age-gated, only Bayonetta is. Anyone claiming they had to find and turn off the adult only sexual content filter has clearly never actually visited these games' pages.

So does Valve, which is why the feature already exists and is what the "Adult Only Sexual Content" filter is for. It's unfortunate that there's a somewhat common misconception regarding what that filter does, and (just as important) does not do.

The "Adult Only Sexual Content" filter is unchecked since last week and this is on my "New and Trending" section right now:
