I'd love to see the possiblity of having how many people have viewed your profile. Quite a few places else where have been implementing this feature in as well.
As for the "best friend feature" you can already do so by adding categories in your friend's list, and adding said people to it for easier contact.
Oh, never knew that!
Why not
Probably not, they'd likely prefer keep things simple in that regard.
The first is again not a bad idea but the second, no, steam got rid of that feature for a reason.
--------------
Reputation is neither tracked nor endorsed by steam... so not gonna happen.
Harmless but again probably encourages the wrong sort of mindset.
this would be nothing but drama. so nothing's gonna happen there .
Irrelevant. It's impossible to be scammed following the proper steam guidelines and if you're deviating from the guuidelines.. you shouldn't, so steam is not going to do somethiung that encourages such deviation.
We don't really need roles other than officers and moderators.
A big hearty "NO" to Like/Dislike buttons on discussions. Trolls will upvote troll content while downvoting anything that they disagree with.
There is no need for profile reputation when it comes to trading. Just trade within Steam's trading window, do not accept trades unless you are getting what you want in the same trade, and you will be fine.
I disagree with the best friend list solely because of the drama it could cause. "Why am I not on your best friends list?" and such.
The best way to prevent being scammed is to use common sense, follow Steam's trading guidelines, and don't let greed cloud your judgment.
The only use for verify profile is to prevent impersonations. No idea how Steam would verify that though.
Any chance you want to edit the original Post and Add Steam APP. It would be nice if would could have customized themes for the entire app and a great way to access them. That would be awesome.
Not everything needs to be a popularity contest
Well, for the verification idea, it's just mainly so people cant get scammed easily by an impersonator of a big youtube channel or stream.
Ah yes, good points.
About the bestfriend section, it's private so no one can view the list other than you.

Problem solved
theres a good solution for it
its called not trading outside the trade system
Group Ideas:
Adding backgrounds for steam groups. This could be cool little addition, but I don't think it's on the top of Valve's to-do list
Custom punishments times. - This would be really awesome, since some group rules violations shouldn't ban you for an entire month, though more than just a single week. This would be really useful.
Custom roles or ranks (With more commands) - I think this would be a little to advanced, and I definitely can't see Valve implementing this - but I think it would be really awesome, I would definitely make use of it in my groups.
More custom moduels (Like the Events page, but you can add more custom ones like ''Staff'') - I don't really have any special opinion on this. While it could be practical, it's always an option to create a seperate group only for Staff members of a big group. There's also Hidden Announcements that only Moderators and Officers can see.
Dislike/Like button for discussions etc. - Great idea, but only for *some* discussions, like this discussion with suggestions.
--------------
Profile Ideas:
Easier way of checking the reputation of the profile. - If you use Steam in Google Chrome, you can install the extension "Steam Inventory Helper", that will let you see reputation from Steamrep + a bunch of other useful stuff related to your Steam Inventory.
A way to view statistics of your profile (Like how many people viewed your profile in total) - While this, like the group backgrounds, would be a cool addition, I don't think it's going to happen, that would make the client way too slow because it has to update almost constantly.
Some sort of best friend list (for you to find your best friends easier) - As others have mentioned, you can tag people on your friends list, though that's private. I agree with R Λ i D Ξ N that it would really just create drama if there was a public friends list.
Maybe a Verified button for big youtuber/streamers steam profiles (Helps prevent people from being scammed) - I don't think a Verified button would be a good idea at all. There's always a risk that someone who's Verified decides to start scamming, or that his/her profile is compromised. You can check on Steamrep to see "Verified" middlemen etc.
---------------
So, here's a few more things I forgot to put in the lists,
-To view how many people viewed your announcement or discussion in total. Again, a cool addition, but I can't imagine it being added.
-Some sort of filter to find new friends. If you mean something that let's you filter in or out profiles with certain levels etc. when searching for friends, that would actually be great.
-You can add some sort of filter in the comment section of your profile.
(Like blocked words etc) - Could be cool enough, Discord already does this. But I honestly don't think Valve would add this, since you can always just delete a comment on your profile that you don't want to have.
-Some sort of blog you can post to the public and your friends can read it. (You can make the public view it as well) - Already exists, it's basically just the Activity page.
