Random messages from strangers

As it so happens I am not alone in this, there seems to be a larger wave of bots picking up, sending chat messages to people that are not on their friends list with some scam crap about ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and a 'youtube' link.

My suggetion to combat it would be an option in the accounts privacy settings to deny messages being recieved by people that are not on your friendslist, as they currently forego the previous need to add you to your/their friendslist.

The maddison scam bot has a profile foto of some girl from russia. I can give you the link to the profile of that website where's she's from but sharing links to websites in forums is kinda against the steam rules..

i too have had this issue, just report them and send the link to the people you are reporting it too. HAHAHA

And so what i see scammer keeps atacks 1 week ago smb try send me invite from icqx or something like that in nicks.. abut 5 times from diferent acc but similar aliases...

How to safe myself.
Rule basical is simple ...but most of them still broke it and get easy virused bc.. they are dumb.

1) just dont enter in link from 1st meet random peoples..
2)Care on spam/scamm on mass cale bascaly you can easy figure out it casue of native lang or strange nicks or e-mails with wild domains.

3) Get good security software and most piority use Bran ... think about it befre you do it.... !!
Do not stay on stand alone AV... bc mostly av are sux expetialy 0 day malware.

a) Get solid HIPS to monitor system behavior.
b) Get Firewall for control your network.
c) Put Some SRP - Restriction on software becasue most of them get more acess on your system then they should obtain.... so need limit back them. Read/Write izolation expetialy for network apps or office software like Browsers E-mail client or M$ office/PDF-reader
d)Wirtual system or at last Sandbox technology for creat separate zone for apps.. if does job virus should stay inside fake zone instand atack your real data..

This is because STEAM has linked Offline Users to Group Chats now...

This allows people to be Targeted by Bots...

Am I wrong?

I don't want the Option to Contact Strangers in Group Chats to be Removed,
I just want Offline People to be removed from Group Chats, like it
was before the Update... ~_~

If STEAM becomes any more Anti-Social, & any worst i'm
gonna have to cut out my entire Friends List Including the
Client, & just Game on it without any use of the Client at all, ~_~
