The Crew 2 Free Weekend

Hello. I was wainting for a dicount on The Crew 2, and i found this: Play The Crew 2 for free this weekend [thecrew-game.ubisoft.com]. Ubisoft states that during this weekend (28.-30. of september) it will be free to play The Crew 2 (a trial version). Ergo: You can play as you own the game for 3 days, but whitout buying it. Futhermore, Ubisoft states that you will get 45% off if you purchase it after/ during the free weekend:

However, I can not find any discount on The Crew 2 on Steam. Futhermore, there is (as far as i know) no option or such thing to download the game and play for free this weekend.

Even though it is a game by a third party platform (Ubisoft), I think it would be nice if Steam could have a discount when Ubisoft does. It would also be nice if Steam could make a trial version available during events such as the free weekend. I would like to buy The Crew 2 from Steam because of the Steam achivements and also for the sake of having it in my Steam library (to view time spent etc.). It is therefore slightly annoying that Steam does not have a offer on the game, when Ubisoft do...

Ask the dev's to do that. They are in full control of making the game free for a weekend or whatnot/or sale/discount. Nothing that steam controls.
