As for making one thats for lefties, not going to happen, just not enough money in it for them. Just look at all the left handed gaming mice that are out there.... oh right there are pretty much none out there.
There are a couple that are symmetrical, but they are not that great. All the good gaming mice are designed for the right hand.
And no this is not a righty talking smack, I'm a lefty. I grew up in a day and age where there was no left handed mice or controllers at all. I adapted cause all my friends were righties. I've asked gaming companies in the past for left handed versions of their hardware, but they said there was just not enough demand to make it worth the cost.
So sadly, you are more then likely going to have to adapt.
There is or at least was one controller out there somewhere which I can't for the life of me remember the name of it, and it had interchangeable buttons and sticks. And you could actually switch their places too to make it for a lefty. But I don't believe its being made now.
