Hidden Games stay hidden from friends or Invisible
Simple as the title, the games you hide (Library -> "Right Click Game" -> Manage -> Hide this game) stay hidden from friends as you never had it, it should hide the game, the achivements and the play activity (current playing game). It should be a option in piracy settings (something like "Hide hidden games from profile") and to find you games you go to the top left View -> Hidden Games. Note: I said friends but if your profile is public I of course mean it should hide it from everyone except you.

Edit 2020-06-22: So from reading and thinking I have a better idea, they add a invisible category ex Library -> "Right Click Game" -> Manage -> Make this game invisible and you would have them in your library but they had a like eye icon or something that shows that its invisible or just nothing, so the people that didn't like the Hidden games merge with this they would be happy to. Also love hearing the ideas in the comments, thanks a lot. :)

if u want it to be hidden to friends, erase it via the remove game option.

This function would be for games you want to hide but you want to keep it, ex. if you have a game you havn't played yet maybe a game you were gifted but you don't want people knowing you have it but thanks for the tip.

Then hide your game list entirely if you're that caught up on it... Hidden is for yourself NOT to play that game.

I've explained why this could be useful and again I want it to be an option not mandatory "It should be a option in piracy settings (something like "Hide hidden games from profile")" simply I want friends to see the game i'm playing and own but not all of them so that would be useful. Hope this makes more sense. :steamhappy:

Hidden is so it can be hidden from your search, no other purpose. It isn't its intended purpose to hide it on your library, otherwise nearly every game on my list would be hidden from the public, as I only have like 50 non-hidden things.

I vehemently disagree with your suggestion, use the options for their intended purpose. If you don't want people knowing you have X game then use the remove from account option.

I understand but things always change so if the hide this game function could have another feature thats 100% optional i would see that as a win win, it's fine if you don't want to use it but I would. Good day.

again, it's not the intended purpose of the feature and it doesn't make sense to add that feature to it. Hidden is to hide from your search on library only.

there's already an option that does it for you. right click -> manage -> remove from account (or help.steampowered.com on a non-free game)

Steam does need a way to hide games from your profile as well as make it so they don't show when you play them. "Invisible" mode does the second half, but there should be an option where the game does not show on your profile either, and automatically behaves as though you were set to "Invisible" when played. This has been suggested repeatedly, Steam just hasn't done it yet. Saying "Just delete the game" is not a solution. That's roughly akin to someone asking "Is there a way to hide a file?" and your response being that they should just get rid of the computer.

I'd personally love a feature like this, as I tend to play a lot of first person shooters and my family, who I no longer live with, disapproves of the genre as a whole. Combine that with the fact that there are plenty of people as proven by other similar threads who want to enjoy Steam's selection of more adult games without their boss, co-workers, or friends finding out what they play, and this means Steam has an actual driving reason to implement this.
May want to try to play the game without Steam. Some games run without Steam running. Or only play the game with Steam in Offline Mode.

Ideally you wouldn't have to worry about this, but Steam tries to fit everyone into the hole of assuming that people want to share their gaming hobbies entirely with all their friends, or none of it at all. If you didn't need Steam to launch games, this would be much easier to deal with, but sadly you do need Steam for many games...

While most of this is true, it sadly doesn't help with it still showing on your profile as something you own. >_<

I do appreciate the help, however. Too many people simply try to troll by saying "Just grow some balls and stop caring," which really helps no one since it doesn't solve the issue.

If you can run it without Steam, you can use Steam to download it, then move the files yourself while you remove the game from appearing on your profile on Steam.
