Donate my Trading Cards to Charity
I don't care about trading cards. In any way, shape, or form. I was thinking of suggesting an option to disable all notifications regarding them, but thought of a better idea: donate them!

I wish I could register a charity's Steam account to receive all my past, present, and future trading cards. The charity could then sell them on the Marketplace. Valve could give a discount or waive the Marketplace fee for these accounts.

This will make it so as I play games, I am helping charity - even if only a few cents here and there.

So, Valve would commit to "$amount to the charity" on a yearly basis or sommat?

What? The charity would sell the card on the market, just like you and I can do. Valve isn't committing to anything - they don't even have to waive the transaction fees, that was just a suggestion if they want to be extra nice.

You and I cannot get currency for wallet funds, though.

The issue is that Steam wallet funds cannot be transferred to a bank account. Even if Valve made an exception for charity, they would still need to investigate every charity to make sure that they were actually a real charity and not one of those "technically legal" charities that only gives 5¢ on the dollar to what they claim to support.

Dude...if you want to give to charity, give to charity directly. Cut out the middleman.

It's "giving away valueless stuff I have no interest in" for charity, as I understood the OP. :Gifting:

Yep. It's sad.

That differs country-by-country, largely based on the level of consumer protection laws. There is nothing technically or legally preventing them (large transfers, aside) in the US.

In what country can one transfer wallet funds into a bank account?
