No touch screen support? Really?
Of all things to omit, I still cannot use the touch screen in the Steam UI. Many of the games are designed for touch screen but Steam says "nope". I'm just asking for the ability to scroll without pinching the tiny little scroll bar.

lol what. Do you use Chrome with F11 full screen on often? No? Why not?

You're dodging the point. Every program in the world allows scrolling with the touch screen... except Steam

Mine works fine with 2 fingers scrolling.

Is that so? What device? On the screen or on a trackpad? I'm guessing your tablet uses a driver hack so that two fingers emulates the scroll wheel.

I am on Surface Pro 3. So I am talking about using the native touch screen, it ignores finger input on this.

Oh you're on Surface then good luck. People have already ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that for years, good Luck.

Mine is just a regular touch screen. Maybe because I have WizMouse installed and not on Windows 10? (Never tried the screen with Win10)
Wait, wot. Touchscreen? I'm stickin with the good ol wireless/wired mouse. Why would I want to smudge my screen with these stupid gimmecks?
Works fine on my ipad air 2 for both mobile and desktop modes.
Yes oh yes, much needed I feel.. I do most of my general browsing of the Steam store on the sofa and on my shiny Toshiba Sarellite and always lament not having touch screen support.
I expect that many users would love this feature to roll out and cannot for the life of me understand why it is omitted? Surely in 2016 there are more than enough Steam users who either game on gaming laptops or like me browse the store and library on a secondary touch device or laptop/netbook etc.
Mate, I'm getting deja vu already. How many times did you repost that?
I miss this feature too: what's the point of having a modern O.S. redesigned for touchscreen devices, like Windows 10, and suffer the lack of x86 application optimized for a touchscreen use?

Steam app on Android already allows scrolling with the touch, I don't understand what bad could possibly happen if they upgrade the PC client as well...
I would Love to see touch support , it would be so useful, im saying, hell, where is pc market going thesedays, portability. and what better than that with a gaming laptop that has touch screen , with steam UI with touch ui would make it much more pleasent to navigate

a tap here, a swipe there , Swipe up , down, left, right

instead we have to click>drag mouse/ click click click drag, click click click.

and touch pads are worse , cause its click hold drag drag drag drag ,click hold drag drag drag click click click, and its friking anoying AF

and i have an LEnovo Edge 2 and previously an lenovo yoga

and i have an yoga
u need china device lol|
but,not all people realize that, it is advantageous to use the device with less energy consumption.
and not everyone has the opportunity to buy good device in the segment of > $ 400. but there is the opportunity to buy 10-15inch<$ 200 in China.
This is a ridiculous oversight for 2017! To make matters worse, modern tablets have high native resolutions making those itty bitty scrollbars steam uses nightmarish to grab and use accurately.

And for God's sake, the abomination that is "Big Picture" is NOT a fair suggestion when it essentially changes the UI to the size of what you'd expect on a 480/720p display and not the 1200p/1440p+ that is common on even low end touch devices. With the amount of software common on so many accounts now, its obnoxious to navigate through with the number of items visible being so low.

Valve, PLEASE at LEAST make it possible to scroll the in application list and browser frames with a touch screen WITHOUT having to grab the tiny scrollbars.
You tell Google add it. Steam uses google chromium.

Funny, that's the browser I use (not Chrome, *Chromium* to be clear) and it supports scrolling and even supports swipe gestures for forward and back natively.
Do you have some strange problem with adding touch support to the Steam UI? You seem to be quick to quip, but offer no constructive input.
