Multiple download connections
I'd very much like to have multiple downloads connections, since I have two Internet connections with a load balancing router.
I don't mean "download two games at the same time", I'd rather suggest having two (or more) connections open to download chunks of the game data.

Is the speed you pay for something like 100mb/s per connection and you want to be able to double your DL speed?

I have two connections with 80/40 Mbits/s.
On dslreports.com I get 160Mb/s download speeds (using multiple connections).

I just checked, speeds have gone up two almost 20MB/s, so it seems Steam is already using multiple connections.

Steam already does multi stream downloads

Note your router is supposed to decide how traffic is handled. That’s not a Steam issue

Thanks Satoru for your reply. As already mentioned in my second comment, I checked a second time and the download speeds were 20 MB/s.

If you want to get some introspection into what servers Steam is downloading from, open the Steam console (usually the easiest way is to paste steam://open/console into a browser's address bar) and enter "download_sources" while you're downloading something, and it'll show you which servers it's connected to and which download jobs are currently in flight.
