STOP making friends list active window on disconnect !!

Here i am playing single player game that crashes when its minimized. Then BOOM, game is minimized by stupid steam friends list with disconnected text, FUUUU.

I didn't even lose the connection, but steam did because steam is down.

If you open up the properties of any game you can actually manually disable the use of the console while playing a specific game.

Console? overlay works fine, i dont use controller.

Steam main friends list becomes active not overlays.

Yes, I was thinking about the overlay. That's how it is written in the properties.

Would that not fix your problem as no pop up should happen in game anymore?

It pops up outside of the game thats the problem.

That's interesting. Can't say I have ever seen what you are talking about. Tho I never, ever use Steam chat in any kind of way.

In old friends list:
Disconnect while playing game -> Steam overlay says u have been disconnected from steam or something.
Game is not interrupted or minimized because overlay showed the message.

In current friends list:
Disconnect while playing game -> Steam opens and makes main friends list active showing disconnected text.
Which minimizes all full screen games and interrupts game play and crashes games that cant handle being minimized.

I know it is probably not what you want to hear then but playing offline is probably your best bet here.

This has not minimized any full screen game for me. Things were dropping out last night...

My brother were having that issue too, he were creating his character on Skyrim and then Boom! Game minimized, all the time he spent customizing his new character was gone.
