As bad as those sale coupons we get when we create booster packs: if we know we're never gonna buy it, just let us delete it. And at least let us mark it "Ignore" like we can games in the Store, so we stop getting multiple useless coupons for the same games we still DON'T want.
If we can't grind useless stuff, or sell it for even $0.01, then let us outright just throw it away without having to wait week or two before it goes away on its own expiration.
Especially considering many of those types of items are one time special event typoes
A compromise would be to create a hide feature for the inventory where you could hide the stuff you don't want from normal view much in the same way you hide library items. The things are still in your in ventory but they will not be displayed in the inventory screen unless you click the 'show hidden' button
1/2 the time, oddly I have to confirm on my phone I'm authorizing to put items on the Market for trade, and half the time I don't. So there's no reason they can't implement multi-authentication to verify we want to permanently get rid of useless stuff.
If not THAT, then just give us an unlimited-slot reserve locker to throw all the useless stuff into: event items we can't grind or trade because reasons, coupons we don't need and can't trade, etc...(like, don't force me to keep a Eurotruck gingerbread house that serves no purpose in the game, no one wants to buy, and I can't grind it for gems)
The simple truth is as said, someone will be hot-headed or drunk or somesuch now and then two days later regret and eant to undo the action.
That's sort of why I suggested Hiding them as the compromise. It would have the same effect as what you just said. namely, removing it from your casual perusal.
