Add simple, low-latency streaming like Parsec
I love Valve and Steam and everything about Valve is great!

Now that's out the way, Steam team should integrate this tech into Steam: https://parsecgaming.com/game-streaming-technology

Or better yet, just go acquire their small team based in NYC.

AKA I don't like what you are saying so I'm ignoring your posts.

No I have no idea what you're saying because I'm not reading your text wall, buddy

What I have typed out is not a wall of text. It is a lot of text, but its not a wall...

This would be a wall of text.....

At 3 dollars an hour that brings you up to near what I actually post at first. $84 dollars for 1 hour a day for 28 days, or $93 dollars for 31 days.Seriously unless you are mr money bags, no one is going to spend that kind of money. You could build a huge computer or buy a really good gaming laptop for that kind of money.12 months at $84 dollars is $1008 dollars, $93 dollars would be $1116 dollars. You could buy a good system for that and still have money left over to buy the games.Valve will not spend money on something that will be laughed at and virtually no one will use because it will be too expensive. If you think up to $93 dollars a month (more if you play more than 1 hour a day) is nothing then thats disturbing. Because to many people, thats a lot of money per month. My cable and TV and Phone bill is not much more than that and I can still play games as much as I want. People will not only have to pay that huge fee, but also their own internet bill too. And now reading this, to play the games, you actually have to already own them and trust this company enough to log into your accounts on their servers. https://support.parsecgaming.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002766972-Installing-Games-On-Your-Parsec-Gaming-Machine WOW thats a HUGE security risk and you have to buy the games anyway. I'm not actually seeing a reason to even bother with this service. Its expensive (near 100 dollars a month) You have to log into their systems with your game accounts. You can only play games that you already bought. You need a really good internet service to get decent quality games. If you are not close to the server you rented its going to be very laggy. Why is this a good idea?

Thats a wall of text. What I wrote out in the other one is formatted for easy reading. You're just too lazy to bother reading it because it go against what you want.

Look at the Nvidia shield and ask yourself why something like that isn't done on a massive scale.

Because it had terrible service.

Then came Steam Link, which is pretty good.

I'm not trying to push the point and advertise but it's been an amazing experience to use my gaming rig from anywhere on any machine with the lowest latency and input lag I've ever seen, I think this is the next big technology. Also, to restate, this service is FREE to use on any computers you own...

There doesn't seem to be any need for Valve do to any integration work with this. Basically you are renting an AWS server, and using the Parsec software to encode the video from the screen and your interactions back to the server.

You'd probably want some assurances on the storage options (Amazon has options for encrypting at rest data that you'd probably want to prevent access to your Steam account) but in theory you can just use this to run your games right now.

So I suppose the question is what exactly do you want Valve to do? What would this "integration" look like?

I said it should integrate the tech meaning their own infrastructure + low latency game streaming and steam cloud gaming rig rentals.

Their own infrastructure would require Valve to have a significant number of servers in all the countries they want to offer this service. They definitely wouldn't have enough servers currently, and I doubt they'd want to buy and maintain them (to be honest a lot of companies are moving to AWS for servers for exactly that reason it's cheaper for a business to rent them from AWS than to host the services themselves). So I can't see how this service would look or operate any differently if Valve were running it instead of this Parsec company.

They currently have the infrastructure to support this kind of service.

Also LOL at this whole Steam should do this, because it's the next big thing .......have you ever seen or used Steam during a big sale?....but you don't think this would cripple it? (It would, because it has in the past during sales.)

I can tell that you never had the pleasure of using Steam when it first launched....I can also tell that you like to pout when people disagree with you.

Hence why frog used the same last line as her previously locked topic. Just had to get the last word in :P
