that being said - the only controller i own is the steam controller. Not looking good. Sigh, someone always gets screwed with these arbitrary walled gardens.
Yes I second that support should help us with this issue, it makes no sense to have steam link type of portal on the system and not allow the Steam controller to be recognized and compatible, over Christmas I bought this controller because I thought it would give me more control over games, because the shield controller is not recognized within the steam link, it sees it as an Xbox controller and doesn’t map it correctly for certain types of games, I even load in controller profiles by the community for certain types of games but the only options are, Xbox, PS4 And generic gamepad, there is a WASD profile which kind of works good on certain games and if you filter you can find steam controller profiles (mapping to Nvidia shield controller within steam link is a total nightmare and does not work correctly somethings get map somethings do not),, But it seems Nvidia and steam are playing a sick joke on us gamers introducing this dilemma,, I have contacted steam support about this but they have totally ignored me and not replied, guess I’ll just stick it in the drawer.
