[privacy] option to hide profile comments / set them to "friends only"

Due to privacy reasons it would be a great addition if we would be able to set our personal comments to friends only, or even hide them.
This option should be simple to implement.

You have have your comment section set up, so only friends can post.
It's under privacy settings.

But I want my profile to be public and only to hide the commentaries/set them to friends only. This is not possible rn.
To be clear: it's not about who can post a comment - it's about visibility of the comments.

Valves lack of patching privacy holes is pretty amazing, you can literally gather so much data about a user that is set to have a private profile.

While i am for more privacy settings to the point you can literally become anonymous, i doubt valve is ever going to get around fixing all these privacy holes.

The option to hide one's friend list was a step in the right direction - but it's kinda useless when everyone still can see those friends commenting on one's profile.
And let's not talk about Valve storing our very old profile pictures, for whatever reasons, on their servers.

Just so you know, I can´t see your comments right now, so currently it´s fully private, from my perspective. Only your friends may be able to see them, depending on your settings.
If your friends share that information with someone else... then that´s something between you and your friends, and you may have to tell them to stop telling others about what´s on your profile.
But it would mean your friends cannot be trusted in the first place, if they do that.

I agree. Since my Friends list is Private and not displayed, Comments from Friends should be invisible to others. Even when my Profile is set to Public.

Which means others can see my friends in the comments. This is not desirable. Even if my freinds profile is Public without privacy settings enabled.

I need the ability to hide all comments from everyone, except for friends.
To be clear, comments are disabled on my profile except for friends.
