Steam download cache settings (location)
Suggestions:
A setting to set the preferred download cache location. Something like "preferred: C:\.... , D:\..., ..." and "the same as the installation folder of the game" or "preferre to download/update on SSD".

Cause:
When updating (15Mb patch) an application like "Payday 2"(55Gb size) steam will copy (partially) the game to the steam libeary with the most free space. If I have 19Gb free on my SSD and 75Gb on my HDD, steam is likely to copy the game to the HDD (that takes around 40min) update the copied game (10min) and the moving its back to my SSD (20min). To prevent steam von doing so, I need to remove/rename all other libeary folders with more free space so steam dosn't find them. And the update process is just doing fine on the SSD.

Background:
Simple said I have a SSD, a HDD and external hard disk connected to my computer.
General I prefer to download my games to the SSD, sometime I do not have enough space ore some reasons not to. Therefore I have like five steam libeary folders distributed all over my PC.

This is mainly due to what files the patches are for. That is why it needs more space to do so.

I have done the thing a few times (removing the libeary folders) and it updated just fine. So it seemes like it was enough space available my ssd or steam has a workaround for that case.

Thats a think i give plus, all Patches are cached on my HDD because its only for small games that dont need fast SSD and it kills my update speed, because of that...
