Steam Incognito Game Mode?
With the release of less-appropriate games, can we have steam incognito game mode?

You mean, like invisible mode that is already available?

But this isnt incognito. Can we get something so that it prevents Steam from even counting the amount of hours that we have on certain games? Once I connect online, Steam uploads info onto my activity page for my friend's to see.
I want something like Chrome's incognito tab, where the history is deleted after the tab is closed.

The only way right now is to set Steam to offline mode, of course this is limited to single player or local multiplayer games (and games that don't have always-online drm), but I guess you wouldn't expect to be incognito when playing an online multiplayer game.

You already have this, its called family share to another account if you are too embarrassed to play certain games. Or tell people who make fun of you for playing certain games or playing games so much to either stop or be removed from your friends list.

Valve and the makers of the games needs to know how much you play and they are not going to keep 2 separate times just because you are embarrassed about how many hours you have in a game.

If its because you don't want your boss/family to see how many hours you are playing, well you shouldn't be playing while at work or at school/working on homework.

So you already have choices. Use family share, or tell others to stop bugging you about the games you play. People really need a bigger backbone when it comes to telling people off who are bugging them about the games they play.

You could always create a new account if you want to play porn on it without anyone seeing it, or just admit to your friends that you do sometimes watch porn like every other human.

So is it to hide the "less appropriate" games or to mask the hours played for your games? In either case, the invisible mode will cover the former, nothing can be done about the latter as that has to do with your account and refunds as well.

If you want incognito just create an entirely separate account that has no friends and purchase these games on that account instead.

No record of owning or playing any of these games on your normal account.
