[Forum] WYSIWYG editor
Because fumbling with formatting is never fun when you try to hyperlink a text item 3 times, I think it might help to have some method of error-proofing your forum posts. Didn't SPUF used to have a WYSIWYG editor before getting nuked?

What all do you need to format? Thing is: all links get filtered here, so... security is more important than being able to spoof malicious links, which may be why there aren't easier ways to do whatever it is.

I do recall the spuf being considerably more complex for what you could do, but that's a web site forum and not this... whatever it is here, they operate differently.

Well, it's more like "I try to type a hyperlink multiple times and screw up multiple times before eventually giving up"

I just would use a txt editor first, then copy and paste the whole thing. Sometimes I do that for long posts just to make sure that if something happens on the way to posting I still have it.

Was about to start a new thread suggesting this, did a search, this was on the first page.

I support this idea.
a WYSIWYG editor for the forums would be a welcome change for many.

Can someone explain what this actually is, so other people can give their opinion? Is this just a fancy way of saying you want a way to see how the post will look before it's posted?
