Nicknames

Technically do I see this as a bug but could not find where to place it then.

If you added a nickname for a friend why is not that name then later used in the client it self? It shows the correct nick in the friend list and in messages, but not on games in the libary tab and on the store page for games. Why have the option to give people a nick when is not transfered to all of steam, you should not need to cross referance with your friend list to se who it it?
