AGE-RESTRICTED WORKSHOP SECTION FOR NON-AGE-RESTRICTED GAMES
It is absolutely inexcusable for Valve to bleach the Workshop of any mature mods on non-age-restricted titles. It is just lazy and inconsidered behavior.

So what else can Steam do? Well, simply confirm the user's age to be able to view and download mature mods for "non-mature" games. Can't be impossible to do.

And before anyone just tells to go on Nexus mods or something similar, don't. My wish here is to be able to find and use mature mods on Steam Workshop, regardless of the game.

There is no way to prove a user is of age legally. And some countries do not allow companies to ask for proof such as IDs.

I'm guessing that the developer of the game does not want their hub full of porn.

Have you or have you not seen all those age-restricted games on Steam?
You know, the ones that Steam always asks your date of birth for you to view?

They could implement the same principle on the Steam Workshop for mature mods.
Game hubs fall under the game developers rules.

Well when children state that "boob mods" and "18+ female body" are "essential", it is no wonder there is some filtering needed for those.

Have you got anything of value to add to the discussion, or just out of context quotes?

mature mods.
"Mature content", the biggest oxymoron of the industry.

Well the discussion is about mature mods and being filtered. I stated why one of the reason mods are filtered is because there are children who think "mature" mods are essential, when they are in fact not and filtering those mods is a way to deal with the issue.

Nobody here thinks mature mods are essential.
You are quoting stuff out of context and making assumptions based on that.

And even if someone thought that a mature mod is essential for their gameplay experience, how is that something that has to be addressed by filtering mature mods out? If you don't like the mod, don't use the mod. I don't see why Steam would have to step in and remove the mod completely so nobody gets to enjoy it.

Or do you think that that's the best way for Valve to deal with it?

Nothing was quoted out of context

The way it is now is fine, yes. I made that clear with the previous posts.
