The option is above what the arrow points to.
And it will have these options when using the regular search until you leave the experiment.
I appreciate the input, but you're just listing Steams flawed and unhelpful systems that people have been begging for them to change/fix.
The Steam Labs stuff does hide ignored titles as you can see in my artwork.
When I click store, featured, and scroll through, I shouldn't see anything I've hidden or ignored. That's a problem.
People buying asset packs for pennies online, changing the color pallet, calling it a game, and uploading it to steam for money, shouldn't happen. That's a problem.
Steam shouldn't be getting flooded with all these browser games that are free to play on a website, but cost money here. That's a problem. Idle games to start...
Steam shouldn't also be getting flooded with these awful, non-game, "dating-sims". It's lazy, low-key, soft-core porn. Porn shouldn't be on steam. That's a problem.
If you don't have anything to say about these specific issues, you're in the wrong thread.

Valve even banned a ton of games this week.

Why not? If the titles in question are under the adult filter (which Steam users have to OPT-IN to be able to view) then there's nothing wrong with them being in the store.
The topic of the types/quality of games on Steam has been talked about plenty before like you said. That is why Valve is working hard on ways to help people tailor what they see to their sensibilities. I personally rarely even see shovel-ware or asset flips because I don't buy or wishlist them and steam has learned over the years not to bother showing me them unless I look deep into the store.
I have wished Steam would do some base level curation in the past, the only downside is that some games that are amazing, but don't look it at first glance, might actually never make it to Steam if they did that (think "Getting over it"), so there are pros and cons. Ultimately I have come to feel it doesn't bother me if there is crap on the store because I can just ignore it, and in reality, I can't even keep up with the amount of quality titles I do want to play (finding quality games has never been an issue for me). There are some titles/developers that cross a line even for Valve and do get banned from Steam.
There has been problems with trading card abuse and other issues, but Valve has found ways to counter those things and will continue to do so. This has made it largely unprofitable to put pure garbage on Steam so these titles become less and less common.
As far as Adult games, I would be fine if Valve removed them and to be honest, am not a fan of them being on Steam. Some people might say where is the line for what is Adult only, but I generally feel if you have to ask (for a particular game), then it doesn't cross it. I don't see these games though because I have them filtered out and I don't care if other people enjoy that content as long as they don't talk to me about it.
As always I think there is room for improvement but I do feel Valve is working hard to find a solution that doesn't dictate what products have value to people while also making sure people see the type of content that suits them. I hope they manage to achieve this goal, but if they can't, maybe they'll consider a different outlook in the future, who knows.
Ignored games are still there but just blurry and slightly grayed out, and hidden tags still show up.
So when I'm scrolling through the store and I keep seeing these things I'm not interested in, and have gone "out of my way" to not see, it's just bummer I guess.
