Bring back the dislike ratio for Steam Reviews
I noticed this a couple months back but didn't say anything, but can we bring back the dislike ratio on reviews because a lot have been flooding games and really affects the validity of said game. I see reviews that are painfully lazy, old and not up to date, or just sitting at a positive or negative review that is just far off the scale on the game they played (like it doesn't even qualify bacause there is no thought or input in the review, simple copy and paste, "good game"/"bad game", etc).

I go into the queue to find new games to buy, or check out if they are good or not. But when I go down that list the games that have a Negative or Mixed Reviews I take a quick glance at said reviews to see half baked to dough like reviews which cloud over the potential of a game. This being said it sort of tuned me into just seeing bad reviews leading me to "Not Interested" a game because of it (Pavlovian effect).

Anyways the ratio looked like this before: 54/108 users liked your post/review.

My "Not Interested" list had games that I've wanted but I had to go back and check because after getting random videos of it on Youtube I would go to search in Steams search bar to buy the game to see that it was grayed out with the "Not Interested" sticky to it.

I don't know if this helped you guys but it helped me, the dislikes showed truth and felt like a sort of opinion that would turn the tide on a good/bad review, whether I buy the game or not. I mostly buy AAA titles at this point to be safe and I don't give Indie developers a chance to buy their game because of this.

I don’t really see how this “affects the validity of a game”? The ‘unhelpful’ vote is still there, and it still functions, it’s just the display that’s changed.

The dislikes don't "show truth" any more than the likes do - and you can still filter the reviews to see the negative ones.

How do you see the dislikes, I don't see them when I look at other peoples reviews. All I see is "2 people liked your post" and the " 3 people find it funny" buttons. The dislike button is just there as well, but doesn't display it's stats.

You can't see dislikes anymore, however, they feed into an algorithm that determines the helpfulness of a review. It's less about count of likes and count of dislikes. Now it's about review helpfulness which is how they get displayed on the review tab.

Oh, like that. Yeah no, you can't see that. Thought you were talking about negative reviews on games.
