Sort Games by Date Added

I often get the humble bundle and purchase games on sale with the intention of playing them later, however they often get lost in my library and I cannot find games that I have recently added (I have 300+ games).

Sorting by date added in the library would be awesome or even just adding "date added" to the api

Anyone else with this problem? / found a way to achieve this?

Try Recent, switch from Installed or Games in the library.

It is finally here! It arrived in august 2023.
You can sort by "Date added to library" now.

Before the discussion is be closed to avoid confusion because it is old, I would like to point out that this useful function unfortunately has the flaw of not working for free, or free to play, games, for which the date of addition to the library, although visible on the game support page, it's not indicated and those games are left at the bottom of the list when the library is sorted by "date added to library".

There is an option to sort that way now, but it's broken.

(To the person generous with their points: would you find courage to come out and explain how the sorting work if it isn't broken? Everytime I use it, my games are scambled, and I wouldn't mind to learn.)

does anyone have any input on how to sort games by recently added to library? i understand that steam as a money making company has to make free games as much of a pain in the a as possible but is there any out of the box solution?
