Regions to add in download region section! State your region

To Developers: Please add Kuwait as a region . It is not listed.

Regardless of distance, the DL servers can obliterate connections. I can set mine to S. Korea (I'm in the US) and still get the maximum speed I should get. There really isn't a need to have one in every country in the world.

I'm not saying it will never happen though.

I understand what you are trying to saying. I am just saying that when I see my country is listed in the download region section I get relaxed more than seeing another nearby country than mine . I always get the maximum download speed even if I am not located in the listed country and sometimes when I switch to a third country I always get the maximum speed. It is not about servers and how far my location is.

In other words I am saying my country is not listed I am a bit annoyed because it is not my country.
My country is listed in the download region I am independent even when the servers are in the nearby country.

I don’t believe myself If I said all the steam library are in the nearby country servers.

Steam doesn't have to fill every country with a server, and there over 190+ countries in the world.

No. I didn't say we want a server. That's another subject diffrent than what I listed in my previous two posts. And If you want to know then yes! I can get the maximum speed even from different servers far from my country. I said I want a download region country name . It is not about servers.It is about adding a download region country name in that section.

Not categorizing the servers. Categorizing the countries. It is somewhat different
That would be some details in the download region. Like for example
Where are you located? I am in the USA. OK where in the USA? In Texas. But in my case I will say Where I am located? In the Middle east. Where in the middle east? Kuwait. So is for many countries that are not listed.

I don't see any point, unless the country employs these servers into effect, talk about infrastructure and labour but downloads pinpoint to a particular destination so your bandwidth could be routed anywhere and randomly.

Download regions are dependent on having a CDN in taht country. Akamai doesn't have CDN's in every country for various reasons. Alos the cost of having on in a particular country could be outweighted by the cost of hosting

How come there is no point? When I see my country is listed it means everything is related to my country is in my own steam client. I can see the prices will be more reasonable when I see it is in my download region section as my country and what I see in my steam client is that everything is in my country related items for example currency & date of releasing the game . All the discounts can be applied to me including both calanders which are gregorian and hajri That's another subject .
When adding it as my own download region it means everything in steam is related to my own country. Even when you say the download region is in the nearby country but steam system will do all the conversions depending on my country and steam already did that from server speed, type of currency and date of releasing. You are expecting me to say the download region is near me and that is correct it is near me but I get what I want from everything else depending on my country . So Why there is some difficulties rejecting adding that in steam? By the way it is already listed that US has download regions & Australia! When you have that in your case so does I! I demand my right that my country must be listed as its own! Is there is something wrong when asking my right to be in its place?

2. Adding a server in your country, or listing, your country with the server does not, and will not affect the prices that's on the store.

No. All it means is that you're downloading from the servers in that region. That's all the download region setting effects. You can test that for yourself by setting it to UK. It won't change the store prices or list them in pounds.

All the stuff you want is handled in different places. Feel free to start a new suggestion thread asking steam for all those features directly. But drop the download region stuff, it won't get you what you want.

If it is up to Steam then why are you being strict on something that is by the hands of Steam? Let them handle it & decide what to do.I am not forcing them I am just suggesting to add an idea that it is more logical when I see my country is listed in the download region section that it contains all the information about the country from speed, server & currency even if the server is NOT in Kuwait. I am saying that the download region can be changed to my country name and in Steam system it goes to the nearby server to download the steam library games . But everything else is attached to my country.Are you refering to a server ? I am not.
How about this! Take out the word download region. Wiki region and ignore download. You may understand what I want . I want the country to be set to Kuwait and not Saudi Arabia. There are diffrences in many things between the two. I think you understood my point.

I do know what you're saying, read my older posts. Also what you see in the settings for download region as those are servers... There's no server in your country is why your country is not listed, there is a server in " Saudi Arabia " which was the " nearest " " Location " to you...
