If you're stating two, then you it's safe to say one is far too underpowered or lacking in resources, to handle the task which explains your issue, if it's not the cpu usage issue, then it's safe for me to assume it's the ram amount issue.
I'm pretty sure the game runs on Windows 10, but I can ask someone to test it out for you if you want.
I can vouch for it runn ing on windows 7
Me also I had not found yet one, until this case of Dark Messiah of Might & Magic Single Player at a Windows 7. The forum workarounds have always worked before.
With help I was able today to set an old Steam version working with Windows XP and installed this game Dark Messiah of Might & Magic Single Player, and it works quite well there, no issues and very fast. This XP PC is a Pentium 4 a 3.0 GHz with and old but good AGP graphics.
