Romanian Leu (RON) as a currency on Steam
So, a long time ago, new currencies were added to Steam, including the Polish Zloty (PLN), which is cool for the Polish people, right? Well, yes. But this is kinda unfair in my honest opinion, because Poland is part of the EU and they use their own currency for Steam, but Romania? Well, it's part of the EU too but we still use Euro, which is not really good for a country that hasn't got really a bigger economy yet (our economy is growing for sure, but we still have a way to go).

I'd like to wait for the Romanian Leu to be added on Steam, so that it's easier for Romanians to get games and get gifted games from Americans too. Many Romanians seem to wait for this feature to get implemented soon, I'm waiting for it too, I'm having patience. This was only just an honest suggestion, thank you for reading this! :steamhappy:

(also I'm hoping this thread doesn't break any actual rules since I mentioned economy)

We'll switch to Euro in Romania before Valve adds RON as a currency on Steam.

Considering the massive Game developer community in Bucharest alone (Thousands), it makes sense to list their currency.

I still have some Ron from my last visit there, and I can't find a money changer to swap it to my local currency. Will have to go back one day and spend it I guess :)

back here after 3 years, seems like the romanian leu is worth less than the polish zloty, we should REALLY be getting our own currency on steam too...

RON was considered and then scrapped as seen in the list at the bottom here at #47 but crossed out.
