If your friends are interested in knowing if you are playing games on xbox or playstation they can start them up and look. If you don't have those same friends on xbox or playstation then more then likely they don't care.
Also pretty sure it would have to be a 2 way street. xbox and playstation would have to have something to send that information to steam for it to know that you are playing them. So go ask Microsoft and Sony to set that stuff up first, because Valve certainly will not hook into stuff like that first, it opens them up to lawsuits. The Steam API is very open and pretty sure it might already be able to do this, if Microsoft and Sony program something up to send that info to the API.

The point of that was so they could know I'm busy playing a console game so they don't bother me.
Then why mentioned the review aspect of it? As far as having steam, a pc platform, showing that you are playing on console serves no purpose.
