steam library categories list -- suggestion
I use self-created categories in my Steam library a lot. I'm sure some people don't. The primary thing that has bothered me about it for some time is this:

If I have added a F2P game into a category, and then uninstalled that game, the category is now persistent until I start reinstalling the game in order to disinclude it from the category. This is not troublesome if I am either not annoyed by category clutter in my list of categories, nor if I can remember what games I've added to what categories in the past. Unfortunately, both those things trouble me, since I have both ADD and an excessively large library.

I'm wondering if we could have it so that if a category only has F2P games in it, and none of those games are installed, either:

-- The category _doesn't_ show up on the category list when we're browsing which boxes to check to add a game to.

-- The category _does_ show up in our left-side list even if uninstalled (if designated part of a category by us at any time).

I would prefer the latter, as it allows me to organize and re-organize F2P games in categories even when I have them uninstalled, but also allows me to remove things from lists and even clear entire categories out of existence without downloading games just to find out what was in there.

I should be just using regular release. Opted out of beta builds.

Is this issue different in a recent beta build?

I was asking since the issues is not in the beta. The new library UI resolves them.

Yes, it is radically different...

I suppose it's just a matter of time, then! Thank you!

In what way does the new library UI resolve the issues? In other words, do you know how F2P games specifically are handled in the new UI?
