I'd say no to APNG as it would be abused; you already see people pulling bait and switch tactics by putting gnome memes in the last frame, who is to say people will not put NSFW content in one of the frames?

APNG format is like a GIF except it doesn't autoplay, you click on the image and when it opens in a browser, it displays the last frame of the image file. Typically, people who use APNG format like to hide "you've been gnomed" memes on the last frame, but I've seen rickrolls and hentai in those APNGs as well.

In the profile the Apng is not native so it needs to click to play :yawning_creep:
With native Apng it would work without having to click as a gif only with better quality

I wanted it to be webp by having smaller size making profile load faster :happy_creep:

APNG, like any other animated format, would be abused too much.

WebP is for the most part exclusive to Chromium based browsers, so compatibility is low. Valve would have to deliver PNG or JPEG images as an alternative for incompatible browsers.
