The download part works the same as it did before, not even the ui has been changed there. Don´t think any issue you have with downloads is related to the update.
My God the performance issues. I hate it when I go to scroll and the whole app just freezes for 1-2 seconds at a time... heck even while typing this, I can't even see what I'm typing for 2+ seconds at a time sometimes.
I know my computer is not top-of-the-line, but I can run a bunch of games at 60+ FPS ... a freaking launcher app should NOT be having performance issues. I'm running a Ryzen5 with 16GB and a 1050ti. No flippin reason I should be seeing these issues.
I don't need all the pretty bells and whistles. I just need my game list, and a PLAY button and that's it. Everything else is just eating up extra resources.
Please give us an option to turn on "Steam Lite" or something so I'm not wasting all kinds of RAM and CPU cycles on all these bells and whistles I never even use.
At the very least, I'd like to tab to my library and not see a blank screen until I scroll up or down and/or be able to scroll through my library without the app hanging for 1-2 seconds on a regular basis.
Settings -> Interface -> uncheck enable gpu accelerated rendering in web views. (restart)
There is a bug with nvidia drivers and chromium causing huge problems for some(lots) of people.
I could hug you!
Thank you so much for this.
This hasn't gotten rid of ALL of the issues I've been having (the discussions area still hangs while typing for example) but at least my library list doesn't come up blank and have scrolling issues.
