Selling game badges on community market

The point with badges is that you are the one who worked to get them. They are personal.

I really don't see the point. Anyone can make a badge (hell, you can make one for games you don't even own). The only ones that'll feel exclusive are sales badges and years of service...then again, these are earned through participation (basically, just exist and you'll earn these things :P).

I was talking about game badges that you can craft with trading cards

Why would anyone bother buying them unless they cost less than the cards used to make them (which they won't) and how will you handle the fact the sellers Steam level could go down from selling them?

If you are thinking about the badges for games that can no longer be gotten and the cards can't be sold on the marketplace for I'm going to have to bust your bubble and point out that if you can't sell the cards now you still wouldn't be able to sell the badges if this change went in.

And to top it all - you can trade even non-marketable cards on forums, so the only "unreachable" badges are Steam events&sales badges.
