People mistakenly selling off more of an item then they meant too.

Yes, it would happen. Probably many times a day. And Valve doesn't want to deal with the support tickets from people wanting their mistakes reversed.

Won't help. People will still screw it up and go crying to support to try and fix it ,which they probably won't. But it will still take up time support could be helping someone with an actual problem.
