HEVC for Remote Play?
Now that In-home Streaming has been renamed into Remote Play and does allow playing over the Internet as well, not only on local network (works fabulously for me, I love it!), I've been wondering if you could add support for Remote Play using HEVC instead of H.264 on compatible systems.

Even iGPUs made in the last 5 years or so can decode HEVC nowadays just fine and many of them can do H/W-encoding as well, not to mention actual discrete GPUs, so there's plenty of hardware around for that nowadays and H.264 could still be left as the default - option as it is now.

I do realize that HEVC has licensing - issues and that's why it's not used for streaming live gameplay viewable by other players, like e.g. on Twitch or Youtube, or on Steam itself, but I'm unsure as to whether those licensing - issues apply when one is streaming video to themselves. My understanding is that they shouldn't apply and therefore it should be a-okay to add the feature to Remote Play. Alas, I'm not an expert at the legalese and I'd at least wish for you to look into it.
