Gift cards in gift history (inventory)

I recently sent someone a gift card, but I couldn't find its current status in my gift history. It just so happens that gift cards don't appear there at all - only games and DLCs do. I was a bit confused, especially since the email receipt points at this gift history.

It was only after I wanted to contact Steam support that I found out where I could see the status. In the section to contact Steam support, you can see the receipt details and a sentence with the status of the gift card. I'd like to see gift cards appear in your gift history. It would be less confusing and it is sent as a gift after all.

PS: please allow us to disable spell checks Steam-wide. I have it disabled in the Steam chat, but it still appears in other areas - including in this very form. It probably thinks I'm writing Dutch. Dutch was the initial language of my Windows install, but I later installed a British English language pack. Oh and thanks Tiffany for pointing me to this forum-section.

I understand that. I tried to refer to the first link in my second paragraph. Though that is not my point.

The email receipt says:

You can see if the gift has been redeemed from your Pending Gifts page. Once your friend has redeemed your gift on Steam, its status will change from "Sent" to "Redeemed"

The link is https://steamcommunity.com/my/inventory/#gift_history. In your inventory, you have the button "More" and after clicking that, you get "View gift history". If the gift history is meant to help you track your sent gifts and if a gift card is sent as a gift, then should it not appear in your gift history?

I have the same issue, just sent a friend a digital gift card, received an email confirming gift purchase, stating that "You can see if the the gift has been redeemed from your Pending Gifts page"
When I follow the the link, it takes me to my Item inventory, and under Gift history it shows nothing "No gift history available"
If I go to Home > Recent Purchases > Purchases then I can see the transaction for the gift card purchase and who it was sent to.

How do I get it to show on the Inverntory Gift History?

Unless Steam changes this, there is nothing that us users can do.
