Fix blurry text
So, I have noticed that there is some problem with text getting blurry when I scroll down the game details page in my library.

Here is the top view – crystal clear:

Here is the view after scrolling down one notch, everything is a little bit blurred:

Funny thing is, if I click on the scrollbar on the right and drag it to adjust the view, the text remains sharp. Here is the same view as before, but without using mouse scroll down wheel:

You can clearly see the difference.

Do you guys have this problem too?

/EDIT/:

Solution: Settings > Interface > uncheck "Enable smooth scrolling in web views"

Are you running with the 'low bandwidth' options in your Library settings?

No.

And this only happens in the game detailed view. The home view (grid view) is always sharp.

Then perhaps trying that option might help. If it persists, then it might be a bug in progress - but also remember there IS a current Steam Client Beta - you might want to try that out too just in case it's already been addressed.

I assume, you don't have this issue at all, right?

I don't but let me qualify that: I have a total of 2 'shelves' with one line of games on each of them, so I don't need to scroll down. tried looking at a couple of my game's pages, I don't *think* I see the issue there either.

Are you on Windows 10? I'm on 7 and have had no weird updates from the OS - 10 is known to change settings, so maybe make sure that your video card is showing the right resolution on your monitor... beyond that I have *no* clue. :/

Windows 10.

Hopefully I'm not alone and this will get fixed soon.

Are you using the font smoothing in the settings

Are you using custom DPI scaling

It's hard to tell with the image host you are using (and by the way the connection is not secure).

Try uploading PNG format whenever posting comparison shots. PNG is lossless.

The library might be using sub-pixel rendering (thanks to the Chromium rendering engine) which could make the text a bit fuzzy if scrolled by a fraction of a pixel.

If you are using DPI scaling, make sure you are using the latest update version of Windows 10 as they have changed the DPI scaling functionality in at least one of the updates.

I did upload lossless PNG shots (5 MB each). You would know, if you’d seen them. ;) The warning about connection not being secure applies to all external links being posted on Steam forums.

DirectWrite is not a problem here. But just above I have found the option “Enable smooth scrolling in web views”. Unchecking it solves the problem for me. So thanks for pointing me in the right direction. :)

I meant the warning inside the web browser that says the connection to that site could be intercepted.

Changing DirectWrite support by the way requires a restart of the Steam Client to take effect in Chromium views.
