Purchase receipts - bulk save?
Hi everyone, i'm wondering if there's a way to get all your purchase receipts easily. I've found i can go through my purchase history and one-by-one click my purchases and see my receipts but i can't access them all in one big hit and save them/download them.

I've found that over the years, sometimes i've kept my emails and sometimes i haven't, so my proof of purchase is not anywhere near complete and i'm looking for an easier way to get all of it. I figure if i can do that once a year or so then by large i'm OK and i don't have to worry about keeping old emails lying around for years.

I'm only looking to do this just in case something bad happens. I now share (via the Family feature) my library with the kids and that increases the risk that someone nefarious could get a hold of my credentials.

I really wasn't sure where to put this. I'm not new to Steam, and perhaps if this isn't a feature that's available at present perhaps it could/should be. It would be a doddle for Valve/Steam to implement it.

p.s. thank you for the Linux support - Of the games i play, most are now on Linux. Once the anti-cheat works, i'll seldom have to use Windows :)

Cheers.

Account recovery doesn't require purchase receipts from Steam.

Nothing Valve would use to help someone regain control of their account would ever be accessible through the client. That's because if someone else had access to the account, they would also have access to that information. They are going to want to know information that isn't stored in the account (CC numbers, physical Steam gift card codes, physical game codes).

Instead of doing this I believe it would be better if you had a physical copy of a game that has a key with it that you activated on steam. Keeping that physical copy with the key can be used as proof. I believe steam card codes also work, you could add a 10£/$/€ every so often and keep those cards safe.

That makes sense i suppose, but i can access this info the long way (one by one). It would be good if Steam provided some means of obtaining this information. I'm open to suggestions as to how that would be... perhaps we submit a request and it takes 2 weeks to be fulfilled. If the account has been compromised, there's a good chance it would be noticed before the data is compiled and sent.

Well that's just not the situation - i can't go out and buy my collection now (most wouldn't be available and it would mean i'm paying twice). I don't have an enormous collection on Steam, but i have even less hard copy. I pretty much only buy a game when its on special - and Steam makes that very easy.

I've been lazy and forgetting to print-to-PDF those receipts when I activate games on my account so I'd like to go back and do it, and being able to do it en-masse would definitely be convenient.

The more you invest in this the more paranoid you get about your money going to waste especially with bad habits like only playing 1-2% of the games you buy thinking you'll get around to the rest on a rainy day...

I don't even know how to get old receipts 1 at a time like OP describes.

Login via the web (not the client) > click your name/alias > account details > in "store and purchase history" click 'view purchase history' > click on the item you purchased > "i would like to view or print the receipt for this purchase"

:)

I don't see why it would be good if valve provided this as again there is no actual reason for it. I can't think of any store in the world that does this as it serves no purpose.

Also if your sharing your games via family sharing with your family there is no way for YOUR account to be hijacked. If your giving your family your login credentials then that is against the rules.

Nothing you can access from inside your account can be used for account recovery purposes. If it were any hijacker could use the exact same data to prove it's their account
