Steam Game Clip Sharing - Suggestion

Just like with Xbox, Steam should have a way to share brief gameclips where players can share the moment on their activity feed just like screenshots. Sure one could use the xbox app and post it there, but what xbox user actually feels enticed to leave a comment or anything when using a controller? With sharing game clips on Steam, users would actually feel more motivated to maybe leave a comment, get some more social interaction going. Overall, I just think it'd be something neat for Steam to add that is actually possible. A nice solution to uploading a 20 second game clip to youtube just to link it to your profile aswell.

Personally, I find it really weird that Steam doesn't have this feature, 'cause most of the pieces are already in place. Capturing the video can be done by repurposing the tech used for Steam Broadcasts and In-home streaming, the video can be uploaded to Steam Cloud, they have a relatively fancy web video player that's used for streaming video, they've got the social like/comment features for video in the community already, etc.

It's just odd that they haven't joined these things together to make this happen.
