Automatically show function keys on Macbook Pro with Touch Bar in Steam games
I would like to make the function keys show automatically when launching Counter-strike on my Macbook Pro 13 with Touch Bar. It can be done for normal applications by adding them as 'Shortcuts' under 'System Preferences' > 'Keyboard' > 'Shortcuts' > 'Function Keys', in accordance with this article:
https://www.imore.com/how-make-function-keys-default-touch-bar-display

However, it does not allow me to select any steam games, I guess because they don't launch like other standard macOS applications.

Can you kindly advise how I can do it, or work on an update to make it possible? It would be really cool :)

In the OS, click the 🍎 menu and enter System Preferences.
Select "Keyboard" (second row, third from the left).
Switch to tab "Shortcuts".
Select item "Function Keys" on the left.
Click the little ➕ button under the right-side pane.
In the File Picker, open your home directory (your username in the left bar).
Press Command+Shift+. (period) to turn on hidden file display in the file picker.
Now that it's visible, navigate to Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/dota 2 beta/game/bin/osx64 and pick dota2.app.

Hi, thanks a lot for the reply.

It doesn't seem to work for games like Counter-Strike though.

Any other clues?
