🌐 Kurdish Language for Steam

There are up to 40 million Kurds globally and they have an ever-growing presence in the Steam Community as more and more of them move onto the PC platform. This community would benefit greatly from localization to allow them to understand and make more use of the Steam application.

ＯＵＲＲＥＱＵＥＳＴ

We are not asking for Steam to translate its application for us. We will do this ourselves. For this, we need the Kurdish language to be added to the Steam Translation Server. At the moment, Kurdish is not available as a language selection to translate. Once this is remedied, the Kurdish community will work on localizing Steam into Kurdish for itself.

I actually work as a Kurdish-English interpreter professionally alongside medical school, so nobody here should lecture or patronize; I will finish the translation of Steam from English to Kurdish alone in its entirety, but I will not work on something without guaranteed returns.

Once Kurdish is on that list and we are allowed to work on it, I will make sure it is complete to the highest standard. The whinging kids on this thread can rest assured.

This should have been added long time ago. Google Translate recognized the Kurdish language aswell, hopefully Steam will do so too soon enough. It should be named ''Kurdish'' that contains all 4 Kurdish dialects, which 30-40 million people around the world speak.

We've been waiting for this to be added for a very long time, it's about time we were allowed to translate Steam into our own language.
The Kurdish community on Steam is growing fast and we need to be able to accommodate for everyone, even those who don't speak English.
Right now, I'm aware of at least three Kurdish-oriented groups with thousands of members.
