Mass community market listing
I'm sure there are many people out there in a similar situation: I have about 15 full pages of Trading Cards that I'd like to put up for sale, but it takes forever to list them. Clicking "Sell", clicking the "Buyer Pays" or "You Receive" box, typing in the price, clicking "OK, put it up for sale.", and then clicking "OK" once again.
Doesn't sound too bad, right? Well, imagine doing that 250 times or more. Oh, and then there's the Steam verification afterwards, but that's not as annoying as listing them in the first place.

My suggestion is that you add a way to mark multiple items so you can list them all for the same price. I have a ton of duplicates, and most cards are worth the same if they're from the same game. With this method, you could also check the price of all your cards as you browse through your inventory, and start with all the ones worth 0.03€, for example. When you're done, there should be a button called "Sell marked items on the Steam Community Market" (or something like that), and when you click that, a list should pop up so you can confirm that you selected the right items. After clicking "Accept" or "OK", or whatever, all of these items would be sent to the verification step on the Steam app.

Don't do them all in one day, just do them in batches.

Also, with some cards their 'gem' value is higher than you will get from the marketplace. Currently a sack with 1000 gems is going for 78¢. That's only 0.07¢ per gem or roughly 14 gems per 1¢. It might be worth taking those and just converting them till you can make a sack of 1000 and just sell that instead.

That's not a bad idea.

Still, it would be neat if they added the mass listing.

But then everyone would do it in huge amounts so it probably wouldn't show up on the market and there would be tons more cheap items on the market because they're all the same price and the only way they could add this is if you could list them for the average cost/recommended but then everything is the same price and if the price goes down it gets overbid

So you mean that a lot of people would list an item at a certain price, and that would be boring? It's just a question of whether or not people have to put a ton of effort into listing all of their cards. Either way, more stuff would be sold, and ultimately that's a good thing.

Mass listings of items usually drive the price down. Eventually they will bottom out till people are more likely to convert to gems because they are more valuable that way. I always check the gem price vs lowest market sell price to see if it's worth the trouble of listing the item.

There is already a way to do this...just use the inventory helper plugin on chrome.

I still think Steam should implement it. Prices dropping aren't necessarily a bad thing, more people would sell their stuff.

Unfortunately they don't. It would cause too many people to make errors and then blame steam.

Inventory Helper is an AWESOME feature. I didn't get to level 203 by clicking each card individually. I think I'd be in an insane asylum if I did.

Yeah, inventory helper sounds nice. I'll definitely try it, but I still think implementing it is a good idea. Thanks for the advice, though!

(I won't be responding to any new people posting on this thread, by the way.)
