So basically a system where a developer potentially could only allow favorable feedback.....
Nothing bad could possibly come from that right?
Did you ever stop to consider that maybe just maybe the criticism you say come from trolls could be genuine opinions from people who disliked aspects of it or how it was presented all together?
Criticism is actually a good thing since it can let people give feedback and if there's an interest for what is being presented.
I personally have yet to see this as more than isolated incidents from time to time
Recently some devs deleted comments in their game discussion forum in Steam, saying that any criticism should be posted in their blog.
And then deleted the comments on their blog and closed the comments there.
When I posted about this, BAM, banned for the forums.
Their reason? Hate speech and trolling.
Some people can't take criticism. At all.
As for allowing the OP to dictate how a topic should flow? Absolutely not. We already have snowflakes who cannot take any opposing viewpoint to their own. It would just enable echo chambers filled with yes-men.
If your idea is solid, it will stand on its own and no amount of trolls can poke holes into it. If trolls are determined to derail your topic and/or are violating rules, report their posts with a vengeance. They might call you a "snitch" for reporting, but last I checked, "snitching" isn't violating any rules. While trolling, flaming and derailing is.

You will not be granted the ability to delete posts that are NOT yours on the forums.
Create a group and you can do all you want to others posts there.
That's slightly different though. The forum is a public arena for discussion as is most channels where games are being promoted. Steam profiles is actually more or less the property of the account holder.
So they're really not comparable

If you wanna moderate feedback create a user group and do your business there
Of course but I give them no attention since I have no interest in engaging with them unless they have something to say that I find worthy of my response
There's a saying you know:
"Don't feed the trolls"?
Other than that just report their post if it violates the forum guidelines
If you think the forums are beyond saving you might consider leaving it and play the games

Nailed it.
