Vietnam Currency
(I don't know if this is the right discussion category to post this)

Vietnam Currency is getting a bit too much for Vietnamese user, i am live in Vietnam and jesus the Codashop want 200.000D (or VND) for 5 USD.

In Vietnam people often have 10.000 VND for some drink or snack, but 200.000 VND for 5 USD is nothing i've seen before, and i want to wonder why Valve hasn't think any way to make Vietnamese user enjoy Steam more without the high priced Country currency like that..

Because steam doesnt set the prices.
You have to complain to Codashop. They add the extra charges. In this case an extra $3.80 on top of the $5.

What a ripoff.

But yes, Valve is the wrong address. Unless it is within their power to make a deal with someone else and still stay within the bounds of Vietnamese legislation.
I've seen worse. In some cafes in other SEA countries, a $5 card/code is 2x the price, a $10 is equal to $17 and a $20 or above adds $11 on top of the value.
Great... 200.000 VND for 1 Virtual Item (TF2 item for example)
acctually 200.000 vnd just high for us but in your country 200.000 vnd just about 5$ or lower
