AUD to USD
So I live in Australia and I accept that when paying through card, games will cost a little extra. (though I wish Steam would just show me how much i will actually be spending) but on top of that whenever we wish to buy Steam cards here, we pay extra for the AUD to USD conversion (again i'm okay with this) BUT what i'm not okay with is having to pay so much more extra for that conversion and then when placing it on Steam, having it convert AGAIN. Example: I was bought two $20 steam cards for Christmas by family, I then put both on my account and only got $28 of the $40 that was paid for. So we first have to pay extra to buy the cards for the conversion, then it converts from AUD back down to USD AGAIN even though its already been done, THEN when I buy games, it converts a third time when I purchase a game with the wallet funds. We have to pay three times more for the value we should be getting, its horrible and I feel like it is false advertisement. I pay the money happily to buy these cards knowing of the conversion but then don't get the value i'm promised, then when I try to purchase a game with that money, i'm spending more than i'm being told I should be spending. This isn't okay in the slightest and frankly it is frustrating as hell. Is there some kind of setting i'm missing where it automatically shows me what i'm paying in AUD? And even then, I feel like Steam is ripping us off for the money we lose in purchasing cards, its not right and it is false advertisement, there is no warning that you'll get less, just a big $20 sign!

Australian here; I think you misunderstand what's going on? There should be only one conversion, not three.

You pay A$20 for the Steam card. When you put the code into your account, you get US$14, because of the currency conversion, since the Wallet is in USD. Game prices on Steam are in $USD, so when you buy from the Wallet, there is no conversion.

Steam wallet code in Australia
So us Aussie have to pay AUD$50 and get USD$36, but America pay $50 and get 50 out of it.
So i was wondering was doesn`t Steam(Valve) make it so Australia get $50 out of a $50 steam wallet code because i can rarely get a wallet code because of the low amount of money you get from a $20, $50 and $100 steam wallet codes.

That's just the currency conversion. AUD$50 is equivalent to USD$36 right now. If you google "AUD50 to USD" it will show you the conversion based on current currency exchange rates. Valve has no control over this. The world economy is to blame.
