Sort games by hard drive
Love the new feature to move games to a Steam folder on a different hard drive. Would be great to be able to somehow see what games are on what hard drive right in the library view (in a list). I know I can check the steamapps folder, it'd just be nice to see directly from steam ;)

Well, your title talks about sorting them while the text only talks about showing which game is on which drive... steam already can show you which game is installed where, but it's part of another sortable string though: the size on disk. You can access that in "List View" of your library, click the + icon to select the columns and make sure to display "Size on disk".

Don't be sorry OP you found the answer for me via google

I'll add my thanks to both OP & especially The_Driver for the new knowledge. (Google brought me here too)

As to the "sort by hard drive" comment, I've just tried adding categories for my games based on their location, (e.g. "Library - USB", "Library - C", etc), and I am happy with the results. I have to remember to manually reassign categories when moving and (un)installing games but it's not a chore, and my games list now allows me to see what games are where - even when the USB drive is not connected :steamhappy:

Can confirm. Found this through google, too.

Thanks, both of you. I've been trying to clean up my C drive and this has helped so much. I never leave 'detail' view so I wouldn't have found this on my own.

That option is gone in the Library update. Only size on disk remains. You'll have to check each games own properties to see which drive it is on when the update goes live. Sorry.

I remembered this thread when I tried to get the info in the new UI... I knew it'd give me a green light again.

I think that valve should implement a feature where you can sort by disk. For people with 500+ games its difficult to know where games are located. In my case I put games that I'm not currently playing onto a Network Drive so i can save space on my pc.

This is annoying for users who use multiple drives for their library

+1 but I really don't believe that Valve will listen
